Virtual reality game that entertainingly teaches about aquaculture and the balance of the marine ecosystem.

Benjamín Benavides, Nicolás Borie, Diego Cruz, Martín Lira, and Joaquín Maldonado.
With the Inmersia VR team, we participated in the LAPCERA 2017 scientific video game hackathon.
Each team was assigned a scientific center from somewhere in the country. We were paired with INCAR, an interdisciplinary aquaculture research center in Concepción.
We had 24 hours to develop a prototype of a scientific video game and present it.
We won 3rd place in the hackathon. INCAR wanted us to continue developing the game.
The game
The player is located beneath a salmon farm. The objective is to protect the salmon and the environment.
It features 3 weapons:
- Katana: To kill parasites attacking the salmon.
- Vacuum: To suck up trash and fish waste.
- Pesticide: To kill large groups of parasites. Should not be used excessively as it contaminates.
Game premiere at a scientific fair in Concepción.
